Fine Engraved 18thC Pewter Straight Sided Teapot

Description:

Fine original condition HOWEVER with a repaired and slightly charred original wood handle. The lid is nice, closing tightly with a solid hinge. The original wood finial spins. No dents. The engraved mono is superb, with a bird perched on the "R". The floral engraving opposite is well balanced with a butterfly and flying bird. This pot has great eye appeal. The marks underneath are either British, or American faux British marks. No estate notes were found with or about this pot.
