Standish Barry Coin Silver Serving Spoon RARE PAIR

Ca. Last quarter 18thC to first quarter 19thC. Approx. 121 grams combined. One spoon excellent with no dents dings or repairs. Second spoon good with only bowl dings. Of the silver offered today, this is the most important Baltimore maker with items in the Met and Smithsonian. Standish Barry's portrait was painted by Rembrandt Peale, and Barry also designed and struck a coin that today is one of the colonial era's holy grail coins. Important colonial silversmith.
