Fine Meiji Japanese Gold Lacquerware Jewelry Chest

Description:

Circa 1880-1920. Excellent original condition throughout. Very finely painted gilt gold vine leaf and flower decortions both interior drawers and all exterior surfaces. Each drawer painted and paper lined, inside of door painted as well. Every single brass piece is also finely done with delicate chased foliate designs. Miniature size approx. 7 3/8" wide, 4" deep and 7 3/4" tall. Every gold painted flower is also etched. A fantastic small jewel of a box.
